We’ve produced a range of widgets, that should allow you to configure and add NHS Choices content to your site in predefined easy packages. You shouldn’t need any coding experience in order to use these, although you will need access to your webpages in order to add the widgets.
The find services widget can be configured to display up to 5 major NHS services (GPs, hospitals, dentists, pharmacies & opticians), searchable via postcode. Configure the widget by using the Find Services widget documentation.
The live well widget brings you over 100 public health topics in widget form. You can either embed a widget with information around a single topic, such as smoking cessation, fitness or winter health, or create a bundled widget, with content from multiple areas, such as a fitness and health eating widget. To access the widget, use the configuration tool. If you need further information, use the Live Well widget documentation, view the video below, or contact your syndication manager, who can arrange a demo.
Similar to the live well widget, the A-Z widget brings in content from our conditions and treatments pages, allowing you to build a widget for a specific condition or treatment. Unlike live well, it isn’t recommended to build multiple subject widgets – instead you should look to create a single topic widget for a similar page on your own site. To access the widget, use the configuration tool. If you need further information, use the Health A-Z widget documentation, view the video below, or contact your syndication manager, who can arrange a demo.
The Carers Direct widget pulls in information from the award winning Carers Direct site, which deals with issues around social care. Similar to the live well and health A-Z widgets, configuration is done through a webpage, which then produces simple code for you to paste into your webpages. To access the widget, use the configuration tool. If you need further information, contact your syndication manager, who can arrange a demo.
